Empower Production and Supply Chain Processes with modern Technologies, Lean Methods and new Solutions

The World Class Manufacturing Conference or short WCM Conference is an event where you can learn about the latest methods of organization processes in various fields – production, logistics, quality, maintenance, supply chain, etc.

This year, several international experts from Ford Motor Company, Hager Group, IBM Deutschland, Schaltbau, htw saar, International TPM Institute, etc. shared the innovative strategies to strengthen the production and supply chain processes. They presented the latest technologies, modern automation and digitalization solutions, Lean’s upgrade strategy, the solutions for challenges of Industry 4.0 and the use of Blockchain solutions for managing more and more autonome mobility world.

Along with interesting lectures the WCM Conference offered a practical experience at workshops where participants caould find innovative solutions for best results and competitiveness in the future. As an example of good business practice a company presentation and a plant tour was available at the Danfoss Trata d.o.o.

The WCM Conference is not only a professional and educational event. It is visited by leading personnel, production and logistics managers, technologists and others who want to optimize the production of the company, so the conference was also an excellent opportunity for exchange of experiences and networking.

Based on the catalysts of the digital change, four digitisation fields are structured, and a roadmap for their transformation is presented. Selected practical examples of innovative digitisation projects provide additional ideas and impulses. An outlook on the automotive industry in the year 2040 completes the discourse.

Stefan Schorr designed already in 2006 for the Hager Group as one of the first companies worldwide the harmonization of SAP systems, processes and data into an “one-client system”. He dealt very early with the topic of Industry 4.0 in production plants.
In he 2015 was honored with the “Digital Transformation Award” of the Wirtschaftswoche in the category “Business and Strategy”.
Process transparency across the value chain and strategic AI projects in his opinion are the core components for a successful 4.0 strategy.
